About the artist
GARLAND is the artist name of Dave Garland, a builder by trade and a producer/writer/singer by necessity. For most of his life he did the same quiet thing: built rooms for other people to stand in and warm, then stepped out of the light so someone else could have it.
This music is the first room he built for himself. It comes from the same place everything he does comes from: a desire to make sure no one stands alone in the dark. He writes the kind of songs he wishes someone had written for him — spare, warm, and unafraid of the truth.
